These are chrome moly heim joints, the 3/8 x 24 is common for brake stays, and the 5/16 ones work as a great high strength replacement for loose or broken shifter linkages. They can also be used when making your own linkage for tank style jockey shifters or other foot control applications. The larger body of the chrome moly housing leads to a much stronger joint.
